How are things?

Hi guys! Writing to you from my new work place for the next 7 weeks. Things have been pretty hectic on my side. But I guess it's a very good experience for me.

How has things been in school? Heard something about not attending Tuesday's after school lessons? Well dont't think that was a very wise move to make. All lessons are complusory and they help make us an all rounded person not just only in sports. I do hope that you take the other subjects as seriously as you would for your sports. Making a choice of only concentrating in sports, is like deciding to use only your right hand to do your daily tasks. I'm pretty sure that in some tasks that you carry out daily , for example buttoning your shirts and washing your hair, all require both your hands to accomplish. Give yourself a chance to do well and try your best in everything you do. Maybe just maybe you will be as good as or as interested as you are in your sports. Do give it some thought.

I hope that you guys will continue to improve yourselves on a day to day basis. Make sure that each night before you close your eyes, ask yourself what you have learnt for the day and how were you better than the day before.

Defending Singapore

I found this on Youtube, thought it is quite funny but relevant at the same time. We were hoping some of you would be able to come up with a video showing what and how you will defend Singapore. Due to time constraints, you are not to be blamed. Just enjoy the video....

Traditional vs. Modern House

Take a look at the pictures of different housings in your Coursebook on page 28 to 30. These are the different kind of houses that people around the world live in.

Have you seen a Kampong before? Do you know if any of your family members lived in a kampong in the past? Ask them to tell you more about life in the kampong.

  • What do you think are the similiarites between a kampong house and the house that you live in now?
  • What are the differences?

Share your views with us. You can also look up the internet and download pictures of the different kind of houses people live in around the world. I have to see some interesting pictures and hear from you.

Here Comes Monday!

For those of you that have posted on Reflection 2, I would like to say Thank You. Most of your blogs are really cool and interesting. Keep it up. Sorry if mine's not that fantastic. Still learning. Do keep yourself updated on this blog from time to time.

I willl be posting some work on this blog pretty soon. But I have to make sure that most of you have your own blogs first. Anyway hope we'll have a good week ahead of us. See you!
